Prohibited & Restricted Items Policy
Prohibited & Restricted Items Policy
What you can and cannot sell on SnapSellGo, the conditions for sensitive products and animals, and what happens when a listing breaks the rules.
1. Overview
SnapSellGo is a worldwide marketplace. Every seller is responsible for making sure that what they list is legal in their own country and in the countries where they sell and ship. This policy is part of our Terms of Service. By publishing a listing, you confirm that it follows this policy.
When in doubt, the stricter rule applies: if a product is allowed in your country but illegal where your buyer lives, do not sell or ship it there.
Some listings are checked automatically when they are saved. A listing that looks like it breaks this policy may be kept offline until our team has reviewed it.
2. Never allowed
The following may not be listed, sold, offered, given away or promoted on SnapSellGo, in any language, including in photos, titles, descriptions or links:
Adult content and sexual services
- Pornography, sexually explicit images or videos, nudity in photos.
- Escort, prostitution, "massage with extras" or any paid sexual service, and any listing that suggests one.
Weapons, ammunition and explosives
- Firearms, air guns and their essential parts, ammunition, silencers.
- Stun guns, tasers, brass knuckles, switchblades and other weapons designed to hurt people.
- Explosives, grenades, detonators and illegal fireworks.
Drugs and medicines
- Illegal drugs and controlled substances, and products designed to use them.
- Cannabis, CBD, THC and kratom products.
- Prescription medicines, steroids, abortion pills, and pills sold to "boost", sedate or lose weight without a prescription.
Counterfeit and unauthorised copies
- Replicas, "super copies", "AAA quality", "mirror quality" or any product that uses a brand, logo or design without the owner's permission.
- Pirated software, films, music, games or digital accounts.
Fraud, fake documents and stolen goods
- Fake or stolen passports, ID cards, driving licences, diplomas, certificates, visas and bank documents.
- Counterfeit money.
- Stolen goods, hacked accounts, card data, hacking or phishing services.
- Pyramid schemes, "guaranteed profit" investments and other financial scams.
Protected wildlife and people
- Protected animals and plants, alive or dead, and products made from them (ivory, rhino horn, tiger parts, pangolin scales, turtle shell...), under CITES and local wildlife laws.
- Human organs, body parts, and anything linked to the sale or exploitation of people.
Gambling and hateful content
- Online casinos, betting, lottery or gambling services.
- Content that promotes violence, terrorism, hatred or discrimination.
Country-specific bans
- Thailand: e-cigarettes, vapes, pods and e-liquids, and sex toys, cannot be sold by shops based in Thailand or to buyers in Thailand.
- Any other product whose sale is banned in the seller's or buyer's country.
3. Allowed with conditions
Alcohol
Wine, beer, spirits and other alcoholic drinks may be listed by sellers who are allowed to sell them. The seller must:
- sell only to buyers of legal drinking age (at least 18, or older where local law requires) and refuse any sale to a minor;
- follow local rules on selling and delivering alcohol. In some countries, such as Thailand, selling alcohol through online channels is restricted: sellers there may present their range and must complete sales in a way that complies with the law;
- never target or show alcohol to minors in photos or descriptions.
Branded and luxury goods
New and second-hand branded goods are welcome if they are genuine. We may ask for proof of authenticity (invoice, certificate, serial number). A listing presented as authentic that turns out to be a copy is treated as counterfeit.
Food, drinks and cosmetics
Food, OTOP products, supplements and cosmetics must be safe, correctly labelled, within their use-by date, and comply with food and health rules of the countries where they are sold. No medical claims ("cures", "treats") unless legally approved.
Knives and tools
Kitchen knives, craft tools, hunting and collection knives are allowed as tools or collectibles. They may not be presented as weapons, and must respect age and carry rules of the buyer's country.
Services
Services (beauty, repairs, lessons, events...) must be legal, provided by people qualified to provide them, and described honestly. Any service of a sexual nature is prohibited.
4. Animals: selling, rehoming and donating
We believe people should be able to find a good home for a pet, and that pet shops and responsible breeders have a place on SnapSellGo. Because animals are living beings, the following rules apply to every listing that involves a live animal, whether it is sold, given away, or rehomed for a fee.
Allowed
- Domestic pets that are legal to keep where you live: dogs, cats, aquarium fish (including Siamese fighting fish kept as pets), common pet birds, rabbits and small pets, and reptiles that are legal and not protected.
- Free rehoming (donation) and adoption with a reasonable fee, by individuals, shelters, registered breeders and licensed pet shops.
- Pet food, accessories, aquariums, cages and pet services.
Rules for every animal listing
- Minimum age: puppies and kittens must be at least 8 weeks old and fully weaned. Other animals must be old enough to live away from their mother.
- Health: describe the animal honestly: species, age, sex, vaccinations and known health issues. Provide the vaccination record on request.
- Identification and registration: where the law requires it (for example microchip, registration or breeder number in France, the UK and many other countries), you must show it in the listing.
- Hand-over in person only: live animals may not be shipped by post or courier. The buyer meets the animal before any payment.
- No online payment for live animals: buyers contact the seller through SnapSellGo; payment is made when the animal is handed over.
- Real photos of the actual animal, not stock pictures.
Never allowed
- Protected, wild or exotic species without the permits required by law (CITES and local wildlife laws), including monkeys, slow lorises, protected birds and turtles.
- Animals bred or sold for fighting, and any sign of cruelty or neglect.
- Dog breeds or animals that are banned in the seller's or buyer's country.
- Puppies or kittens younger than 8 weeks, pregnant animals sold as "two for one", and mass-bred litters from undeclared breeding.
- Live animals as prizes, gifts with purchase, or mystery boxes.
Advice for buyers
- Never pay before you have seen the animal in person.
- Ask for the vaccination record and, where applicable, the microchip or registration number.
- Be careful with sellers who refuse a visit, insist on shipping, or ask for a deposit by bank transfer.
- Consider adoption from a shelter.
5. Warnings and suspension
We use automatic checks, reports from our community and manual reviews. When a listing breaks this policy:
- it may be kept offline while our team reviews it ("waiting for a check"). This is not a sanction;
- if our team rejects it, the seller receives an email with the reason and one warning;
- after 3 warnings, the shop is suspended: its page and all its listings go offline;
- for serious cases (sexual exploitation, weapons, drugs, protected wildlife, fraud), we may suspend a shop immediately, keep the relevant information, and report it to the competent authorities.
Suspension does not entitle the seller to a refund of plan fees already paid, except where required by law.
6. Report a listing or a shop
If you see a listing or a shop that breaks this policy, use the Report button on the listing or on the shop page, choose a reason and add a short note if you wish. Reports are confidential: the seller is not told who reported them. Our team reviews every report. A listing that receives several reports may be taken offline until it is reviewed.

If you think a listing was rejected or a shop suspended by mistake, simply reply to the email you received, or write to
